Asset Management

Asset Management Policy

The Province of Ontario approved Ontario Regulation 588/17, being a regulation for Asset Management Planning for Municipal Infrastructure, enacted under the Infrastructure for Jobs and Prosperity Act, 2015. This regulation identifies timelines for the preparation of Asset Management policies, plans and strategies. Under the regulation, all municipalities are to have a strategic asset management policy, approved by Council, and posted for public viewing. On September 9, 2020, Council approved the Town of Englehart Strategic Asset Management Policy to comply with the requirements of the regulation. A copy of the Policy can be viewed here.

Asset Management Plan

Municipal infrastructure includes many assets such as roads, sewers, watermains, land, and facilities (e.g. arenas, water treatment plants, town hall) as well as vehicles and equipment. The Town of Englehart continues to meet its obligations and has prepared Asset Management Plans under the Ontario Building Together Guide for Municipal Asset Management Plans. The most recent version of the Asset Management Plan can be found here.
