Council Boards and Committees

Council Boards and Committees act as advisors to Council and focus on initiatives, activities and special projects on matters pertaining to environmental services and programs. 


Central Timiskaming Economic Development Board: This board is made up of one representative from Englehart, Charlton-Dack, Chamberlain and Evanturel, as well as four (4) community representatives. Central Timiskaming Planning Board: The Central Timiskaming Planning Board meets once a month to discuss pending applications for severance or the amalgamation of properties within the limits of Englehart, Charlton-Dack, Chamberlain and Evanturel. Culture and Heritage Ad Hoc Committee: The Culture and Heritage Ad Hoc Committee consists of three members of council and two non-voting staff members. They meet monthly to review and assess the current status, challenges and opportunities of the Englehart and Area Historical Museum and make well-informed recommendations for its future direction, development and improvement.  For more information please click here to email the committee's recording secretary.

Englehart Special Events Committee: The Englehart Special Events Committee puts on various events throughout the community and meets the first Monday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Dennis Mortson Boardroom (upstairs at the Arena Complex).
