Fire doesn't take the summer off. It's important to practice fire safety throughout the summer.
Tips on practicing fire safety:
Stay in the kitchen of near your BBQ while cooking
Install smoke & carbon monoxide alarms on every storey and outside all sleeping areas of your home and cottage
Test your alarms every month to ensure they are working properly
Change batteries in your alarms at least once a year
Develop and practice a fire escape plan for your home and cottage

MUNICIPAL NOTIFICATIONS
Due to extreme heat and dry conditions, a fire ban has been issued for the Town of Englehart effective May 29, 2023. This fire ban will remain in effect until further notice.
All open air fires are prohibited including fires for cooking and warmth.
