The Town of Englehart is an active community with many facilities and activities for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Community Badminton runs October 3rd 2024 - April 24th 2025 at Englehart High School on Thursdays from 5:45 - 7:00.

Youth 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult. 

$10 per person for the season.

Indoor gym shoes are required. Please enter through the arena doors to the gymnasium. 

Community Badminton follows the school schedule - no school, no badminton.

The Town of Englehart boasts two fully-equipped ball fields complete with lighting and washroom facility. The newly constructed pavilion adds a large event space to the venue, and a fully-operational concession booth is also on site.

Located in beautiful down town Englehart, it's the perfect place to enjoy your lunch or take a stroll on the paved walking path. Plenty of seating and the covered gazebo make it ideal for outdoor events and activities. With seasonal washroom facilities on site, you can enjoy the whole day!

The Englehart and Area Community Arena Complex is located at 80 Seventh Avenue in Englehart. The Community Complex houses an 85' x 185' recreation ice rink, banquet hall and boardroom that are all available for rentals. For more information please contact us today. 



Arena

The Arena is home to a variety of activities such as Public Skating, Ringette, Pick-up Hockey, Private Rentals and Englehart Minor Hockey. Community Hall

The Englehart Community Hall is centrally located between Kirkland Lake and Timiskaming Shores. It is a large, modern facility suitable for weddings, conferences, concerts and other large events. Walking Track

The Arena also offers a safe place for people of all ages to walk. Located around the ice rink, visitors are able to come walk indoors from October to April. The walking track is open daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. There is no charge to use the walking track. 


The Marty Callaghan Fitness Room

The Fitness Room is open 24/7 for those with a valid membership. To purchase a membership, you may visit Town Hall or the Recreation Office.

Dennis Mortson Boardroom

The Dennis Mortson Boardroom is the perfect space for meetings, training sessions and workshops. It comes equipped with tables that can be reconfigured to suit any group, comfortable chairs, as well as video conferencing technology. This room is best for groups of 25 or less. The Marty Callaghan Fitness Room

The Fitness Room is open 24/7 for those with a valid membership. To purchase a membership, you may visit Town Hall or the Recreation Office.  


The Town of Englehart has established a variety of policies and procedures to ensure the members of the Englehart & Area Community Arena Complex Fitness Room have both a positive and safe experience while using the facility. We require that our members review and adhere to the following policies. The Town of Englehart reserves the right to change policies as required and to revoke membership or suspend any member who does not comply with these policies and procedures.

EMHA boasts lower registration rates and more ice time. Combine that with the excellent Englehart & Area Community Arena Complex, and kids and parents alike are sure to have a great season!

The Englehart Nordic Ski Club is located inside beautiful Kap Kig Iwan provinical park and is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. For more information about the club including membership information please follow them on Facebook: Englehart Nordic Ski Club

This is for players 35 years of age and older who are looking to play non-competitive hockey for exercise and socializing. Pick-up style games take place twice a week from the beginning  of October to the end of March.

The 2024-25 schedule is Sundays and Tuesdays at 8:00 pm. $8

OUTDOOR: Runs June - September at the Englehart Racquet Courts located across from Town Hall on Fifth Avenue.  For more information call the Recreation Office at (705) 544-2244 ext. 5.

The Englehart Racquet Courts are open to the public from May - October (weather permitting).

Community Volleyball runs September - May at Englehart High School on Wednesdays from 7-9. 

This is a non-competitive group designed for people over the age of 13 of all abilities to get out for some exercise and fun.
